Guided by a passion to help people lead healthier lives and create brighter futures, the Foundation provides funding and resources to support lifestyle decisions that in turn lead to better health outcomes and healthier communities.
Thank you for your interest in United Health Foundation and our mission. In order to make the greatest impact for the greater good, our giving focus lies in four key areas – creating healthier communities, expanding access to care, developing the future health workforce, and improving medical outcomes.
To be efficient and effective, we forge partnerships with leading nonprofit organizations that strive to create healthier communities through their areas of expertise. For example, with the Diverse Scholars Initiative, United Health Foundation relies on organizations with a great reputation in scholarship administration, such as UNCF, the American Indian College Fund and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. These organizations help identify and engage with bright students in need of financial support.
Given our company’s innovative history, United Health Foundation is always open to new ideas and partnership opportunities. We like to remind those groups who are interested in working with us that our infrastructure is different in scale and scope than most foundations. While many foundations directly receive grant applications and have deadlines associated with a set giving cycle, United Health Foundation is not structured in this fashion.
